Being an intern at any company, no matter the industry, you help around the office in anyway you can. Always. Try to do things to take slack off of a co-worker, even if it's something small like grabbing them lunch when they have a lot of calls to make. This means you're a C-List actor: Basically, someone who is good at what they do, but you are still working your way to the top. A-list actors are people like Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston... you name them. They had to work super hard to get where they are, and that's what I try to do every day. I always get super nervous if I'm doing things around the office right. I HATE feeling like I'm not good enough or not performing the task to the level I should be. It's nerve-wracking because you want so bad to be the best or get to the position your boss worked at for years to achieve. This past week, I my confidence got pushed to the level of an A-List actor because I was given a job I thought I wouldn't be given for a few more years. My boss trusts me enough that he gave me a social media campaign for a company we work with. I have to post at least 3 original posts a day on each of their social media pages for a month. Since I leave here in less than 2 weeks, I have to create all of the posts before it's time for me to leave. There's ways to schedule the posts on websites so you don't have to worry about getting online every day to post a status. Am I freaking out? You bet. I don't want to ever make the company look bad. I am trying my best to be creative as possible and to make it look like I've been doing things like this my whole life. I've been given a task that is very important to the company, so I am doing everything I can to not disappoint anyone. It's an awesome feeling knowing that this big of a responsibility was given to me. There are also things in the industry that make actors and actresses jump from C-List to A-List quickly, too. Think of Amy Schumer right now. Her new movie Trainwreck was released last week (this is the movie I saw for free at the very beginning of June and met Amy at). She wasn't all that well known before, but she has completely jumped to stardom after the movie was shown in theaters. She's hilarious and so lovable and relatable and speaks the truth. I can't wait to see where her career takes her now! Here's a look at the Variety.com article on her jump to stardom recently.
