Wow, 8 weeks of living and working in LA. What a whirlwind it has been. I've experienced a lot and learned a lot more. Being at Prospect House Entertainment has been an amazing time and learning period for me. I get nervous on first days anywhere, and I was welcomed in with open arms on my first day here. I gathered so much valuable information while here. I had so many teachers who were always open to helping me out. Tegan, the CEO, has so much power in the industry, and I hope to have the connections he has one day. He is so generous all the time to me and any needs I have. Kim, who was over me most of the time, was the absolute nicest ever. She never once spoke to me like I was below her. She guided me through everything. But like many things in life, we must go on. It's my time to leave PHE and go back to Georgia.... so sad! This was a perfect first internship for me. Over the course of the weeks, I became so much more comfortable here and felt like I was a big part of the team. I was always included in every aspect of the business and never was left out of anything. I know the skills I gained at the business will stay with me throughout my career. Like me, Chelsea Handler moved on in her career as well. She had one of my favorite nighttime shows, Chelsea Lately. I was so sad to see her quitting the show, but I learned that she was moving on to more incredible things in her career. She has a series of shows on Netflix coming out, and I can't wait to see them. No matter who you are in the industry, you're constantly growing. I have grown with this company, and I know I will prosper because of it.
