"...The oysters were curious too!"
Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum are notorious characters in Wonderland. Alice comes across them after floating in her pool of tears (like me the in the previous blog post). She tries to escape the pair in her chase of the white rabbit, all while Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum ask her a series of questions, including asking where she's going. She responds to the question about the white rabbit by saying, "Well, I'm curious to know where he's going!" Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum then reply, "Oh she's curious... tsk tsk. The oysters were curious, too!" Alice turns around and asks, "What happened to the oysters?!" The pair then give a smirk to one another, start walking off and say, "Oh no, you're in much too much of a hurry!" I find myself like Alice in this sense. I am constantly trying to do the next big thing out here in California. Once I slow down, I find myself in much too much of a hurry as well. Everything fascinates me. With this state potentially being my new home, I want to see it all in my time here before having to go back to Georgia to finish up my last year at the University of Georgia. I STAY curious here and am always trying to find new adventures to dive into! This past week has been fun in my Wonderland. I don't have a whole lot of pictures, except from Madame Tussaude's Wax Museum. I go from seeing one thing, and in the process going, "Oh that makes me curious, too! Let's go!" I never slow down.... Here's a recap of the past week:
(3 photos in slideshow) Benihana Birthday Celebration Last Tuesday, June 30 was Darby's 22nd birthday! Since we had an event filled day planned with Grady LA events, we celebrated the night before. We went to Benihana, a popular celebrity food joint. I was craving good Japanese food and was not disappointed. It was so yummy, and 13 people from the program came along. It was a great bonding time for us to celebrate!

Some of the cast was there, too, including Christopher Lloyd (Doc)! It was amazing being in a place with so many people celebrating the 30th anniversary of the movie's release.

It's called Las Horas Contigo and the director, Catalina Aguilar-Mastretta came to talk to us. It was SO good. I loved the movie. It was about a granddaughter who was having to watch her grandmother die, but appreciating and reminiscing on life with her and loving her. Being that my grandmother is so sick now, it made me very emotional. But, it was a beautiful movie. On the 4th of July, a few friends and I went to Hermosa Beach. We had good food and the weather was nice and cool. The next morning, Darby and I went to a restaurant we went to a few weeks ago, House of Pies. That was where I had those delicious pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream. This time, I had cinnamon roll french toast. Holy amazing!!

Madam Tussauds provided props in a lot of the areas, which made it that much more fun posing for pictures. You'll see the fair share of jackets, hats, and other props I got ahold of! Definitely recommend going if you ever come out here to LA! We spent hours in the museum laughing at everything we did. After the museum, we walked down Hollywood Boulevard and had dinner at Hard Rock Cafe! It was a fun filled day!
